Bakugan Battle Brawlers is a two player game. Each person encompasses a team of 3 Bakugan Brawlers and each one is trying to be the first to capture 3 gate cards. It is that straightforward! The players sit in front of the other one on the floor or across any different hard surface such as a table. They both choose a gate card and put the gate cards between them so the two cards touch. Then the youngest player selects a Bakugan Battle Brawler and rolls it like a marble to the gate cards. Currently, the fun begins!

A Bakugan Battle Brawler is just a small sphere till it lands on a gate card. When however it does land, the gate card allows the Bakugan Battle Brawler's ball to open to reveal the Bakugan Battle Brawler within it. And when two Battle Brawlers alight on the identical gate card they fight it out till one is victorious. The player who possesses the winning Bakugan Battle Brawler gets the gate card and then gets to start first in the subsequent battle. The battles carry on until one player has won sufficient battles to gather three gate cards.
